This series explores noise music from the late 70s onwards. It is the genre between genres or the anomalous zones of interference between genres that constantly question notions of musicality and accepted cultural frameworks of listening and hearing. A retrospective of sorts, each week a different musician, critic, label owner or Resonance contributor chooses ground breaking, seminal or forgotten recordings. The show will be a journey, not a history, around this diverse area of sound practice.
